In This Moment - Niagara Falls, NY

In This Moment continued their seemingly endless touring cycle when they came through Niagara Falls, NY a few weeks back. This time around, they brought along an exciting evening of rock including P.O.D, New Years Day and Ded.

The show kicked off with a set from Arizona-based metal outfit Ded. Taking the stage with a zombie persona, complete with white contacts, Ded puts on a consistently entertaining set. They will continue to tour this year, be sure to check them out if you get the chance!

Next up was New Years Day, fronted by electrifying front-woman Ash Costello. They're currently on tour in support of their brand new EP "Diary of a Creep" including a ripping rendition of Pantera's "Fucking Hostile," which was performed this evening.

One of the biggest surprises of the night came with P.O.D.'s set. The San Diego-based group has been active since 1992 and saw their popularity peak in the early 2000's with songs including "Youth of the Nation" and "Boom." Along with the hits, came an engaging and highly energetic set, that also included a trip from front-man Sonny Sandoval into the crowd.

Finally, Maria Brink and crew took the stage for In This Moment's first local show in about 5 years, complete with a whole new level of theatrics, outfits and stage props. Over the years, In This Moment has gone from a straight-ahead metal act to a hugely theatrical, performance-based act. Front-woman Maria Brink and company have come to take incredible care to the attention to detail on stage, as the props and costumes change between virtually every song.

The show opened up with "Blood" from the self-titled album, followed up the new track "River of Fire," from 2017's "Ritual." Other recent hits included "Adrenalize" and the show-closer, "Whore." The set largely drew from their current album, including additional new tracks "Roots," "Lay Your Gun Down," "Oh Lord," and Phil Collins cover "In The Air Tonight."
