Sabaton to Embark on North American Headlining Tour

Sabaton have just announced a headlining tour through North America next spring, and the first thing anyone who has seen them perform live in the last several years is probably thinking is..."It's about time!"

We have covered Sabaton on both their recent tour in support of Trivium, as well as last year's tour supporting Nightwish. While each of these touring packages were stacked with incredible bands from top to bottom, it was impossible not to notice the enthusiasm in the crows when they took the stage.

"Finally, after 4 tours in a row supporting other bands, the time is right for us to turn the tables and headline," comments Pär Sundström. "We have seen the fans reactions and now we feel confident that we cannot just pull this off, but we can do it in great style!”

Currently touring in support of 'The Last Stand,' released back in August via Nuclear Blast Records, this tour is sure to feature all the firepower you're used to in a Sabaton set, with the added benefit of a longer performance.

For those of you new to Sabaton, who may have no idea who I'm raving on about; we've included a lyric video for "Sparta," the lead track off of 'The Last Battle' and a live video of fan-favorite "Ghost Division" so you can get a sample of what's about to roll through North America next spring!

There's no word on support acts at this point, but we will keep you updated as this tour develops.
