Welcome to Rockville 2018

“Welcome to Rockville” is a three-day weekend festival in Jacksonville, Florida at Metropolitan Park that showcases some of the best modern rock bands. This year, it kicks off on a Friday, April 27 and continues until the end of Sunday, April 29. This will make any concert-goers weekend complete and here’s what will make it up.

From Billy Idol to Black Veil Brides, many subgenres of rock and heavy metal will be represented throughout Welcome to Rockville’s weekend. There will be a legendary rock icon headlining everyday with Ozzy Osbourne on Friday, Avenged Sevenfold on Saturday, and Foo Fighters on Sunday. Rock representative acts such as Asking Alexandria, The Used, and Bullet For My Valentine will be littered throughout the weekend. Up and coming acts will be performing as well with more underground bands like Black Foxxes and Palaye Royale in attendance.

While music is important, so is food. There will be food trucks and vendors all weekend. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options will be offered to cover everyone’s appetites. Every food imaginable, from pizza to tacos will be accounted for to ensure that everyone stays fed and happy. Food trucks will include Mac Attack, Super Tot Truck, and Pie Baby. Just like food, alcohol will be on sale. Caduceus Wine Garden and Heavy Tiki are the prime spots to enjoy alcoholic beverages to spice up the experience. Be sure to stay hydrated.

The weekend doesn’t stop there, it will include other extravagant vendors to experience at Welcome to Rockville. Monster Energy is hosting a viewing deck with free samples so fans can stay fueled while enjoying their favorite bands. They will also be sponsoring interactive artist experiences throughout the weekend. While exploring, stop by the Take Me Home nonprofit foundation booth for a shirt or raffle to help out the homeless animals between bands. Be sure to support sponsors because they make the “Welcome to Rockville” experience a reality. If you ever needed a way to relieve pent up stress, or try and pass an exam, music is one of the best outlets, and why not celebrate or rock out to your favorite bands during this year’s Welcome to Rockville festival.
